My Interview with Paranormal Romance Author Buffy Christopher

Q: Please tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from, what is your background?

A: My name is Buffy Christopher and I am from Phoenix Az. I am an avid reader of pararnormal romanace and m/m romance. I am a mother of two teenagers and have been married for 16 years to my high school sweet heart.

Q: When did you first realize that you wanted to be a writer, and What was it that inspired you to start writing?

A: This is a somewhat sad story. A coworker of mine passed away. She was only 21 and it was very sudden and unexpected. I realized when she died that you can be taken out of this life at any minute and that I wasn't doing what I love most. I immediately started writting again, something I haven't stopped since.I had given up after high school and motherhood. Other than that I have always been a writer even as a child I would make up stories for fun and ask my mom to give me topics to write about.

Q: When did you write your first book?

A: I wrote my first book in 2006. It's called Darkness Waits and is currently in edits with Sapphire Blue Publishing.

Q: How many books have you written? Do you have a favorite?

A: Seven that I have actually finished. I've had alot of false starts. My favorites are my Midnight series. They're just fun to write.

Q: When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A: A secretary, seriously I love paperwork.

Q: How long does it typically take you to write a book?

A: FOREVER! It depends. I have written one in as ittle as 3 months and as long as 2 years.

Q: Where do the ideas for your books come from?

A: Everywhere! Beware you could be my next inspiration.

Q: Where is your favortie place to write, where do you feel most creative?

A: On my couch, but I get the most accomplished in the car on long trips..

Q: Do you have any role models? Have there been any other writers that have inspired you?

A: Anne Rice is my favorite author and I can say I would not be where I am today without watching her break the rules.

Q: When you're not writing, what do you like to do for fun?

A: Read of course! VAMPIRES ARE MY FAVORITE! But I've been known to read a good werewolf book.

Q: Do you have anything that you'd like to say to your readers?

A: I hope they enjoy my book and get a snip of freedom from the real world when they read my work.

Q: What kind of advice would you give to new writers?

A: Just keep writing! You will always learn something new and you can do it! Never give up.
